Being a proud black woman with a unique sense of style, Ky was determined to find a phone case that truly reflected her identity. However, the market didn't reflect the diversity she searched for. She realized that there were very few black-owned phone case brands that offered the cultural imagery she craved. Worse yet, as an Android user, she discovered the shocking lack of options available for her device. In that moment, 22Eighteen was born.
Ky knew that she couldn't be the only one facing this challenge. She saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between style and representation in the world of phone accessories. She decided to not only serve the unmet needs of the Android community but also to celebrate and preserve the richness of black culture.
